Welcome! My name is Alondra Ramirez, and I am a Student Therapist at Horizon Family and Community Services. I am passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges and work toward growth, healing, and resilience. I primarily work with adults and college students, and my areas of focus include academic difficulties, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and stress.
I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel heard and supported. I have a special interest in working with first-generation college students, as I was one myself and understand the difficulties and frustrations that can accompany this transition.
I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and receive weekly clinical supervision from Ashley Barnes-Brown to ensure that I provide ethical, effective, and compassionate care.
Thank you for considering working with me. I would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
