Welcome! My name is Jasper Allen Jacobs, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee at Horizon Family and Community Services. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, families, and children navigate life’s challenges and discover new paths toward healing and growth.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported, a space where change feels possible and hope can take root. I work with individuals, couples, families, teens, children, adults, and co-parents, with a special focus on anger management and emotional intelligence. I believe that every person, regardless of their past, has the capacity to grow, learn, and build stronger connections both with themselves and others.
My areas of focus include anger management, emotional intelligence, men’s issues and fatherhood, relationship challenges, family conflict, parenting and co-parenting, and communication and boundaries. I work from a strengths-based, client-centered, and culturally affirming perspective, drawing from Narrative Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. My approach helps clients explore the stories that shape their lives, identify patterns that no longer serve them, and learn practical skills to improve communication, deepen relationships, and respond rather than react. I bring empathy, humor, and real-life experience into the room, because therapy should feel human. I have a particular interest in working with fathers rebuilding relationships, men managing anger, and couples seeking greater emotional connection and understanding. I also enjoy helping parents and co-parents strengthen their communication to foster healthier family dynamics and break generational cycles of disconnection.
I am currently earning my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and receive weekly clinical supervision from Jeff Beesley, LMFT, 105525, to ensure ethical, effective, and compassionate care.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I believe that healing begins when we feel safe enough to be honest, with ourselves and with others, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward understanding, growth, and connection.
