Hello, my name is Karen (she/her). I am a Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee from the
University of San Francisco, receiving weekly supervision from Ashley Barnes-Brown, LMFT
#127661.
My background includes working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and
human trafficking, as well as individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, and
co-occurring mental health challenges. I have worked with clients ranging from age 5 to 70, and
I believe every person’s story matters.
I enjoy supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and substance use, using a
person-centered, strength-based approach combined with evidence-based practices such as
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Psychoeducation. My goal is to provide a
safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore their experiences,
process what they’ve been through, and take steps toward healing and growth.
If you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or burdened by past trauma that’s interfering with your daily
life, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and
self-discovery. Thank you for considering working with me.
