Hello, I am Maria, I am excited to be part of the horizon team as a trainee. I currently have a BA in psychology from Sonoma State. I am in school working on my masters in MFT and Art Therapy at Dominican University of California.
Previously I worked for a handful of years as an ABA therapist for children, adolescents, and teens. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, and in-homes.
In addition to my education, I have been volunteering at Sutter Health for an art therapy children’s group focusing on grief work.
Though my therapeutic experience is with children, adolescence, and teens, I have life experiences working with all ages.
I am excited to work with a wide variety of clients as I start my journey to becoming a licensed therapist.
