Hi there! My name is Samantha, and I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Horizon Family and Community Services. I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University. I’m passionate about helping people get unstuck and reconnect with who they are and want to become.
I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, including children, teens, and families. My areas of focus include depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, school difficulties, self-esteem, and improving communication and boundaries. Positive change is always possible, even when life feels overwhelming.
My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Mindfulness-Based, and Narrative Therapy. I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
I am particularly passionate about helping people navigate life transitions and rediscover themselves during times of change. To ensure ethical, effective, and compassionate care, I receive weekly clinical supervision from Susan Harrison, LMFT #93612. Thank you for considering working with me. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey of growth and healing.
