Welcome! My name is Stephanie Moreno (she/her), and I am a student therapist in training at Horizon Family and Community Services. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing, growth, and resilience.
I work from a Humanistic Therapy perspective, emphasizing the importance of empathy, authenticity, and client-centered care. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift distressing thought and behavior patterns, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to promote present-moment awareness, acceptance, and emotional balance.
With over twenty years of experience in the healthcare field, I bring a deep understanding of working with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, at Grand Canyon University. I receive weekly clinical supervision from Ashley Barnes-Brown, LMFT #127661, to ensure I provide ethical, effective, and compassionate care.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am committed to offering therapy that is empathetic, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental.
Thank you for considering working with me. It would be an honor to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
